Das Seminar begleitet die Teilnehmer_innen bei der Konzeption und Realisierung zentraler Arbeitsschritte ihrer Masterarbeit. Es orientiert sich inhaltlich an den Themen und Thesen der individuellen Projekte und bietet Raum für Präsentationen und Diskussionen, in denen sowohl fachliche Auseinandersetzungen als auch die praktischen Herausforderungen des Entstehungsprozesses verhandelt werden. Im Sinne des Studienplans unterstützt das Seminar methodische und methodologische Entscheidungen (einschließlich der Spezifika künstlerisch-wissenschaftlicher Arbeiten) sowie die Einbettung in den aktuellen Forschungsstand. Gemeinsam werden Entscheidungen zur Themenfokussierung, Grundrecherche und Literaturarbeit, Eingrenzung des Untersuchungsfelds, Formulierung tragfähiger Forschungsfragen sowie zur Entwicklung eines geeigneten Untersuchungsdesigns reflektiert und umgesetzt; Fragen von (Trans)Disziplinarität werden dabei ausdrücklich adressiert.

In line with the curriculum, the seminar supports methodological and method-related decisions (including the specifics of artistic-scholarly work) as well as the integration of these into the current state of research. Together, participants will reflect on and implement decisions regarding topic focus, preliminary research and literature review, narrowing the scope of the study, formulating sound research questions, and developing an appropriate research design; issues of (trans)disciplinarity will be explicitly addressed in this process.
