Diese Lehrveranstaltung vermittelt die zentralen Grundlagen des disziplinären, wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens und bereitet Studierende auf das selbstständige Erstellen akademischer Texte vor.
Hierzu wird in der Gruppe der Aufbau und Ablauf von Forschungsprozessen erarbeitet: Ausgehend von einer Forschungsfrage werden Methoden gewählt. Im Zentrum der LV steht ein Überblick über Methoden der unterschiedlichen Wissenskulturen, die für das Studium Design & Bildung relevant sind: Designresearch, Fashion-Studies, Kulturwissenschaften und angewandte Technikwissenschaften.
Ausgewählte Methoden werden in Kleingruppen erfahren und erprobt.

This course provides students with the key fundamentals of academic work within the discipline and prepares them to produce academic texts independently. For this purpose, the course explores the structure and process of research: methods are selected based on a research question. The course focuses on providing an overview of methods from the various fields of study relevant to the Design & Education programme: design research, fashion studies, cultural studies and applied engineering sciences. Selected methods are explored and tested in small groups.
